In the spring of 2024 the Bald Eagle couple on Amelia Island is raising two eaglets. Here one of the adults is perched in a tree where it can observe the nest and can get to the nest quickly if there is any threat. This tree is also where the eaglets will be taught to fly to once they are ready to fly on their own. This shot was taken on March 14, 2024. $8.00
On March 27, 2024 both Amelia Island eaglets flew for what looks to be the first time. This one flew right over head going back to the observation tree where it was sitting when I got there along with one of the adults. Shortly after this the eaglet flew back to the nest. $8.00
On March 25, 2024, two days before the eaglets’ first flight, this adult was sitting nearby watching the nest. I was able to get close and got this shot. $8.00
